Set aside 10–15 minutes, play calm music, and follow along.
1️⃣ Create a Safe Place 🌳
Close your eyes. Picture walking down gentle steps and opening a door to a peaceful scene. Mine is a clear mountain stream. Tell yourself, “I am safe. I am calm. I choose to be here.”
2️⃣ Ask & Explore ❓
Scan your body. Where do you feel tight or heavy? Give that feeling a color or shape. Naming it makes it easier to change.
3️⃣ Face the Fear 👀
Place that shape in front of you like an object. Ask, “What are you trying to protect me from?” Listen kindly. Often the answer links to an old story.
4️⃣ Release the Weight 🧳✨
Pack the old story into an imaginary suitcase. Snap it shut and picture it flying away or turning into light. Feel your chest get lighter.
5️⃣ Install the New Feeling 🌟
Breathe in the feeling you want: peace, strength, or love. Let it fill every cell. Say, “This calm is my new normal.”
Practice every day. Repetition tells your nervous system that calm is safe.
